Our experience with The Hollow started the evening before when we met Dante and Jess as they wrapped up their evening with a cocktail. They were friendly, curious and eager to express their pride in the restaurant. We made reservations for Saturday evening and could not have been more impressed. Broad and creative menu, welcoming staff and great craft cocktails. We started with the The Wild Game Board, Duck Eggs and finished with the Venison Wellington. All was outstanding.
This is the place to come to for the ambiance and a delicious meal! Todd, our server, was amazing. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Gave descriptive menu information which was very helpful. The food was delicous…I had the venison wellington for my dinner and it was cooked to the perfect medium rare which was already the suggestion. My husband had the elk filet which I sampled which was so tender and full of flavor. We are usually not dessert people but tried the olive oil cake….oh my. Indulge. YUM. Will be going back to try the lunch menu
We’ve been to The Hollow several times now, but our recent visit on 5/22/26 was the best so far! A big part of that was due to the incredible service and hospitality of our waitress Laraugh. She took such great care of myself, my husband and the two friends we were with. The food and wine we had were absolutely delicious and the service and care provided by Laraugh added to our evening and our experience greatly. On top of that, The Hollow offers Happy Hour from 4-6pm, Tuesday through Friday, and ALL appetizers and wine, cocktails and draft beer are half price! For reference, all the pics in this review are current items on their appetizer menu. Incredible right?! Looking forward to our next visit already!
When there’s absolutely NOTHING negative to state…you get picky. So, the hand towels in the ladies restroom were low (only 2 left). The highlight of this experience celebrating my sister’s birthday was our server Michael. He is the best, so God bless his parents for raising an engaging and considerate young man. He steered us away from a menu item and more/less confirmed our selections that were on point: prawn heads, beet salad, scallops, salmon and elk filet. Michael did not disappoint with his choice of the Runaway Bride as our cocktails. So good we got 4 as I reminisced of younger years when I should have ran away. Complimentary Olive Oil birthday cake which I would have paid double for. Shocking - the bill came to what I typically expect one person at restaurants in the DMV where I live. Amazing!!! My wife and I had our date night here and are always impressed with our food. We tried their new spring menu and the chef outdid himself with our entire meal! We started with the new scallop appetizer and it was some of the best scallops we’ve ever had. My wife’s dill lemon salmon was very flavorful and she ate her whole plate. I tried my first ever Wellington here and the chef prepared the venison perfectly medium rare. You can tell the owner Mr. Chris and his staff take pride in the restaurant and always going above and beyond the guest expectations and experience. We had Skyllar as our waitress and she was attentive and knowledgeable on their new menu and was able to make recommendations that we highly enjoyed. The bar is beautiful along with the atmosphere. The bar always makes great drinks for any pallet!
Omg! Where do I start? I brought my daughter here last night (5/2/2026) for a birthday dinner. We drove about an hour and a half to try this restaurant and they did not disappoint. We arrived about 25 minutes before our reservation but we were seated promptly. The atmosphere is dim but very inviting. Our server Sam, was amazing. She was very attentive and gave great cocktail suggestions. My daughter and I both ordered the elk filet entree, which was delicious. Afterwards, we made room for 3 desserts (mind your business lol). She was brought a complimentary dessert for her birthday, then we ordered two more. They were soooooo good! We’ll definitely be back. This was a great first time dining experience. The ONLY suggestion I will make is, if the someone other than the assigned server is delivering drinks to a table, make sure they a well versed in the alcoholic and mocktail beverages. When our first set of drinks were delivered, a server gave my daughter the cocktail I had ordered and we didn’t know what the drinks looked liked because we had never been here before. Thankfully, we caught it quick before my daughter had too many more sips. Lol
OMG…beautiful atmosphere! I was nervous about trying game meat for the first time but I loved the elk. Seasoned to perfection!! Duo ribs specifically the boar…was everything! Super tender and flavorful! Hands down Micheal was the best server/waiter ever. Everything he recommended from the food to drinks was top tier!! Will definitely return and I must sit in Michael’s section 🥰
Our first time dining here in Father’s Day weekend. The restaurant has plenty of seating and has a very cool vibe. We were given a complimentary appetizer which was super nice. The food is different but we found it to be quite tasty. I would recommend if you have not been.
Wow! So good and uncommon. Everything we had was thoroughly delicious. Our service was great and she gave excellent recommendations too. The best meal we had all weekend on our visit to Columbia! Also appreciated the comped dessert for our anniversary! How thoughtful that our server first asked if we were celebrating anything and secondly gave us a delicious blueberry olive oil cake in recognition of our celebration. Would dine again and definitely would recommend to others too! Love you can see the kitchen doing their thing too. Only recommendation is add more truffle to the fries! Barely tasted it!
A co-worker suggested this restaurant when he found out we would be in town, so we decided to give it a try. We walked in on a warm, rainy Monday evening and we were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to a table. The wait staff served with a smile and great conversation. We were never rushed in our time there and waters were refilled on a timely basis. All of the food we ordered was perfectly flavored and delicious! From the appetizers to the main meal-we left full and happy! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! We will definitely suggest this place to others! @kplusds
